About

As a writer and producer, Katy’s worked on over sixty episodes of TV. She co-created, executive produced and wrote on TV Land’s hit show Teachers that ran for three seasons. She served as co-executive producer on both seasons of the Disney+ hit show The Santa Clauses. Additionally she’s developed TV for NBC and features with Invisible Narratives and Bluegrass Films.
As an actor, Katy played Ms. Chelsea Snap on Teachers (TV Land) for fifty episodes. She’s also appeared on American Housewife (ABC), Corporate (Comedy Central), Mike Tyson Mysteries (Adult Swim) and voiced the role of Ms. Grumpy Pants on The Healing Powers of Dude (Netflix). Katy has appeared on Larry King Now, Watch What Happens Live, Last Call with Carson Daly, Steve, @midnight and more.
Before working in entertainment, Katy studied Theater and Psychology at Vanderbilt University. She also studied improv and sketch comedy at The Second City Chicago and spent five years coaching improvisers, specifically training individuals in teamwork.
Katy’s passionate about elevating new voices. She’s served as supervising producer on numerous pitches and created her own writing course, STAGE TO SCREENS, for comedic performers looking for guidance on how to transition to narrative television.
